I’m nervous…. It’s Tuesday, August 24th and I’m away on vacation. I had a fill on Friday and it was my first on both sides since my expander re-do. I’m at 400cc on both sides and I’m sore as hell. I’m back to “wearing that barbed wire bra” feeling and to me, it looks like my breast mounds are getting red. It could just be the lighting, the fact that it’s my first real fill to tax the muscle and skin this time around or god forbid, it could be something brewing. I’m certainly hoping that the latter is NOT the case. I swear, if I develop cellulitis again, I’m taking both expanders out and will think of doing something else.
I am scheduled to go back to work ONE week from TODAY… I can NOT have an infection. I can NOT miss more school. I can NOT go through surgery again….. <fingers crossed that it’s NOTHING>

hey, how are you today?
i don’t know if it is the picture or not, but they do both look a little bit red on the undersides. could this also be from scar tissue from when you had cellulitis before? i hope you contacted your ps already to at least ease your mind.

Hi Rach,
I’m not as red looking and it’s not hot so maybe it was just normal redness from being expanded so much for the first time since April. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, that’s for sure! I seriously would be devastated if I develop another complication. I’ve been pretty positive and have had a “go with the flow” attitude right along but if it didn’t “take” again then I’ll certainly question if it’s right for me and how many strikes I should take before I’m out.
You must be in the waiting period for your exchange by now, right? You look great and it’s amazing that you have expanders in right now.. they look so good!

I pray that all goes well and no infections for you… You are doing so well… keep up the great great attitude and positive outlook! I can’t believe you wear a bra. I haven’t been able to wear one since surgery. I am at 910 cc’s waiting on the exchange sometime in October. I am ready… Keeping you in my thoughts…

LOL… “Barbed wire bra” feeling.. not a bra! I only wore a sports cami when I was lopsided and needed to stuff one side. I definitely don’t wear one now and never will again if I can help it!

Thank you so much for your post and yes the dam broke finally! I am trying to hang in there it is hard sometimes. I am so excited about my doctor appointment so I can get this 2nd surgery done and over with! They are unsure as to what kind of rash it was? They ruled out staph and gave me steroids again but a stronger dose and it has now gone away! My skin has never felt so good! You are looking great keep the positive attitude and you will get through this. You have a had a rough one with yours as well… Take care and thank you for visiting my blog and posting I like to read my posts it makes me feel good when I do…
